A decision has been made to phase out the FleetNet 800™ network because the network is aging and SaskTel is not in a position to guarantee it will work reliably in its current state and into the future. Notwithstanding this fact, the Minister Responsible for SaskTel has stated that SaskTel will not leave emergency service providers without reliable emergency communications services. SaskTel is committed to doing its best to support the existing FleetNet 800 service until a viable solution is in place. We are still providing the FleetNet 800 service, and new units can still be added. SaskTel will continue to support the current FleetNet 800™ network but will not be upgrading the service.
