Cellemetry provides an easily implemented, low-cost, reliable method of sending and receiving small packets of critical information on a scheduled, or "on-demand" basis over the CDPD network.

The technology is ideally suited for such applications as:

  • Remote meter reading
  • Status monitoring
  • Alarm detection
  • Remote device activation
  • Package tracking

Cellemetry works by sending and receiving small packets of critical data on a scheduled or "on-demand" basis over the CDPD network. Message size in Cellemetry is limited to 32 bits of data, making the applications very specific. In Canada, Bell Mobility owns the license for Cellemetry. All applications using Cellemetry must first be certified by Bell Mobility as they own the "gateway" through which all Cellemetry messages are sent and received.
